When JFK spoke these words, little would he have known how seemingly prescient they were, especially within our own current political environment of spin, marketing, lies, public persuasion and obfuscation.

And occasionally, we are purposely kept ignorant and unaware.

One of the three central pillars of the Conservative Party is that of Democracy, and we have always stood for the tenets of this most vital of processes.

Labour and NZ First have signed their coalition agreement, and what is greatly harmful to our democracy is that our people do not know what is inside the 33 missing pages.

We are being kept ignorant. We are uninformed. By a strategic move…

The Conservative Party joins the Taxpayer’s Union and others and calls out NZ First, Labour and Greens to stop keeping our people uninformed, and to release the hidden deal signed to us, the people.

Do not continue to keep us ignorant and unaware. Fulfil your most minimal of duties as our civil servants, to be honest and transparent, and release the 33 pages that will determine our path, and your integrity..

Following on from JFK”s above quote:

“The ignorance of one voter in a democracy impairs the security of all.”

Indeed…
